Roisin Walters, was born in Ireland in 1987, and began studying the violin at the age of 3. She currently studies with Prof. Eyal Kless at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin and will be studying with Prof. Gyorgy Pauk at the Royal Academy of Music in London later this year. She performed the Mozart G major and Bruch No. 1 violin concertos with the Dublin Symphony Orchestra when she was 14. Competitions she has won include the Versus First World Violin Competition, Brentonico, Italy, first place in her category and Canetti International violin competition, Cremona, Italy, first prize for interpretation of a modern piece, in 2004. She has won many prizes at the Feis Ceoil and has been included on a CD of Feis Ceoil prizewinners.
